Getting Involved

There are a variety of involvement opportunities for you to explore in the Involvement tab at the top of the page including committee work, the Annual Conference team, following us on social media, or connecting with our educational partners. Part of the benefit of our professional organization is the opportunities it offers to help build skills outside of your current role and the connections you can build with colleagues across New York state.

Celebrate 50 Years

2017 marks the 50th anniversary of the College Student Personnel Association of New York State.  This tremendous milestone will be recognized through a year-long celebration.  Learn more about our rich history and how to get involved with the 50th Anniversary under the About Us tab.

Scholarships, Grants, & Awards

CSPA-NYS offers multiple resources including grants for research, attending our annual conference, association awards, and graduate student scholarships. Each of these has specific deadlines so please refer to the pages listed under the Scholarship tab for more information. Additionally, the NY Journal of Student Affairs seasonally publishes peer reviewed and open source scholarship that addresses contemporary issues relevant to higher education and the practice of student affairs professionals.

We welcome contact from our membership and would love to speak with you more about your experiences and what we can do to create a better experience for our membership.

Upcoming Events

Check out upcoming events under the Events tab. This includes upcoming professional development events like Higher Ed Happy Hours or the Coffee and Conversation series. You can also learn more about our upcoming 1-Day Conferences that highlight specific functional areas or institution types within our organization.  It's easy to bring PD events to your region by joining the Professional Development Committee.
